Women of Purpose
On Monday I had the privilege to host and attend the first ever Women of Purpose Founders' Luncheon in Grant County. This is group is raising funds to create an endowed fund that will provide for women and children in Grant County for years to come. The Women of Vision who attended the lunch donated $1000 plus their $100 annual voting donation. At the lunch the group brainstormed ideas for how to guide the first Request for Proposals. There was so many great ideas, it will be very hard to narrow the focus. All voting members then help further streamline what the RFPs will be specified to. From there the RFPs will be reviewed and money will be granted this fall. The Grant County of Women of Purpose is still accepting funds for Founders (Women of Vision) as well as voting members. There are even matching funds available for individuals or groups interested in becoming Founders. And don't let the name fool you - it is not restricted to women, men are very much welcome to donate! For more information, you can ask me or visit the Grant County Community Foundation website at http://www.grantccf.org/.
